One of Atlantic Analytical’s specialty
programs is in Residual Gas Analysis (RGA) including hermetically
sealed device content
identification and impurities determination, leak rate and outgassing
kinetics, for electronic parts and components originating from
various industries. Our test methods meet or exceed the critical
MIL-STD-883 and MIL-STD-750 Suitability requirements, as they
apply to METHOD 1018, PROCEDURE 1, with package volumes from
0.01 – 2.0 cm³.
All analyses are performed on our mass spectrometer systems,
which were designed and developed by Atlantic
Analytical or by major instrument manufacturers.
Other chemical components used to fabricate these parts may
also be involved when these parts fail, and if they do, RGA
can be combined with Head Space GC-MS to identify and quantitate
volatile components from these parts.
